When it comes to living in London, there is no shortage of fantastic food choices. But great value that won’t break the bank isn’t always easy to come by. This is why I’ve rounded up a list of my favourite budget eats so far, and all with great dairy free choices.
Franco Manca: Originally in Brixton and now branched out across the city, is definitely at the top of my list when it comes to Pizza in London. A Sourdough pizza for under £7! Sign me up! When it comes to cheap eats Franco Manca have got you sorted. Easily catered for dairy free, as you can get their original pizza of tomato, garlic and oregano for just £4.95 I like to add my favourite veggie toppings they have on their specials board that day.
Misato: A Hidden gem in the heart of central London’s Chinatown. Misato is a fuss free place bursting with Japanese taste. Offering a selection of Japanese classics to cater for everyone, from Udon dishes, sushi to teriyaki chicken. It may be a simple menu, but you are spoilt for choice. My favourite would have to be the rice dishes, not only for their flavour but for their generous portion sizes. For just over £6 you will be leaving fully satisfied.
Note: Cash only
Wagamama: Not necessarily a cheap eat but a great budget friendly chain located all throughout the city, serving a wide variety of pan-Asian dishes. They have also recently announced their fantastic new vegan menu. My favourite hands down has to be the Yasai Pad Thai (Rice noodles in an amai sauce with tofu, beansprouts, leeks, chilli and red onion) Full of yummy goodness.
Pizza Union: It is safe to say I do love pizza, and this is another great dairy free option for pizza lovers (simply ask for no cheese) The interior of these restaurants set of fantastic vibes and at night they completely come to life, with an industrial looking feel and neon signs. Pizza Union is known for their super fast cooking time in a traditional stone pizza oven, spealising in thin and crispy artisan pizzas.

Yorica: London’s first full vegan froyo/ ice cream parlour could not be missing from my list. Being diagnosed dairy intolerant meant saying goodbye to ice cream in restaurants, until I came across Yorica. You are spoilt for choice on flavour with a fantastic selection of toppings. A wonderful after dinner dessert or a great little treat while on a stroll through central London.
As a newbie to London, I would love to hear your favourite budget eats in the city, as I love exploring new foodie places.
