Who doesn’t love a good picnic! These five picnic recipes are perfectly portable, entirely gluten free and easy to make in advance, giving you more time to make your picnic extra special.
When I think of picnics I often think of sandwiches and crisps, deliciously refreshing drinks, and my grandma’s favourite cake – all wrapped up with love. But when following a gluten free diet, it can be quite difficult to find good quality gluten free bread and ingredients. Sometimes a special picnic requires something a little bit different.
An unforgettable soirée at Royal Ascot:
Last week I had the pleasure of joining Stella Artois for an unforgettable soirée at Royal Ascot. Often with busy schedules, running from one thing to the next we forget to enjoy the simple pleasure of life. In the middle of the craziness Stella Artois offered us just that; a chance to enjoy ourselves and let go, surrounded by wonderful food, great people and one (or a few) perfectly poured gluten free Stella Artois.
Royal Ascot is the pinnacle of the flat racing calendar. I grew up watching the races on TV with my grandad. As well as listening to my grandma tell me stories about the incredible fashion worn on Ladies’ Day. So, when Stella Artois offered me the opportunity to attend, I leaped at the chance.
In addition to the event itself the food was absolutely incredible. We enjoyed a picnic on the gorgeous grounds of Ascot. Hosted by food writer and author, Rosie Birkett, who has the kindest heart and soul, there were many wonderful gluten free options too, each perfectly paired with a Chalice of gluten-free Stella Artois. I am absolutely honoured to have had the chance to taste her delicious recipes.
Stella Artois strongly believe that a life well-lived is one where we take the time to enjoy simple pleasures. And what better place to start than by hosting your own picnic. Upgrade your basket this summer with these simple and delicious recipes:
